Lance Corporal John Chapman

John was born in 1888 son of Charles and Eliza Chapman of Audley End, Essex. He was married to Emily of 8 Trevor Gardens, Glynde, Lewes, Sussex.

John enlisted in the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Sussex Regiment and was in the Sussex Yeomanry.

John died on the 17th of October, 1918 aged 30 years. He is buried in Busigny Communal Cemetery Extension, France. This is a cemetery where many soldiers from the nearby casualty clearing stations are buried.
