Albert Richard Webb was the son of R and A. E. Webb who, though native of Leith, later had an address at Lee Place, Wisborough Green, near Billingshurst, Sussex.
He was killed in action on 19th September 1918, a Lance Corporal in 11th Battalion, The Cameronians, serving in the Salonika theatre of war. He is buried in Doiran Military Cemetery, Greece, grave reference III. D. 3. The cemetery is close to the Yugoslav border near the south east shore of Lake Doiran.
