Private Thomas Holloway: 1st Battalion The Hampshire Regiment (5414) Born in Whitchurch Hampshire and one of the 8 children of Charles and Mary. His father was a woodman. He probably married Amy Walters in Epsom and daughter Edith Frances was born there the following year.
In 1911 he was living at St John’s Road in Westcott and working as a builder’s carman.
He enlisted in the Hampshire regiment at Whitchurch on 12 September 1914. He died of his wounds at the Boulogne Hospital on 24 May the following year. He was buried at Boulogne.
