Fancy a card game?
Download and play Dorking then & now snap. Print out this cut-out game onto three A4 sheets of paper or, better still, thin card. There are 30 cards to cut out, in fifteen matching pairs. Each historical photo of a Dorking scene (many taken over a century ago) has a matching photo taken, today, from the same spot. Your job is to match the pairs. See how our town has changed.
Mix up the deck of cards with their faces down.
Each player takes a turn to flip over the top card. When someone turns over a card that matches the same view on the card already face up on another player’s pile, shout ‘Snap!’ as fast as you can.
The player who calls ‘Snap’ first wins both piles and adds them to the bottom of their face-down pile.
The game continues until one player wins all the cards.
