Reginald Edwin Amey was born in Gomshall in 1899, the son of Edwin and Alice.
In 1901 the family was living in Holmbury St. Mary, where Edwin worked as a bricklayer.
In 1911, he was living with his parents and brother and sister at Albion Cottages Holmbury St. Mary.
Reginald joined the 6th Battalion of the Queen’s Royal West Surrey Regiment as private with the regimental number 67561. He was killed in action in France on 13th May 1918 aged 18.
He was buried in Acheux British Cemetery Plot 1 Row C Grave 26.
