For over a hundred years the Surrey Yeomanry was embedded in the lives and concerns of the wealthy gentry of Dorking and its surrounding estates. This exhibition explores four key periods in the regiment’s history: its formation during the Revolutionary Wars, its revival during the Boer War, its time billeted in Dorking during World War I, and the stories of local men who served.
